Gauge: 2 rows = 1"

Row 1: chain 25, hdc in second chain from hook and next 23 chains: 24 hdc

Row 2: Working in back loops this row only, chain 3, dc in first hdc, * dc in next hdc; repeat from * across: 24 dc.

Row 3: chain 2, hdc in first dc, * hdc in next dc stitch; repeat from * across: 24 hdc.

Repeat row 2 and 3 until it measures 7" end weaving in all ends.
