Using red

Rnd 1) Ch 3, join to form a ring, 7 sc in ring join: 8 sc.

Rnd 2) Ch 1, sc in same st, * 2 sc in next st; repeat around join: 16 sc.

Rnd 3 - 5) Ch 1, sc in first st, * sc in next st, repeat around sc dec in last sts join: 15 sc.

Rnd 6) Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 1, 3 dc in same st, * sk next 2 sts, 3dc, ch 1, 3 dc in next st; repeat around join: 5 shells

End red weaving in all ends.

Edging: using purple thread & #8 hook, Join in any dc stitch

Ch 1, sc in same st, * 2 sc in next st; repeat around working also in ch 1 space: 35 sc.

End weaving in all ends.

take ribbon and weave in and out of rnd 5

stick magnet to back of hat and hang on fridge.
